Just a thought

I find myself going through a change in my life. Many stages of my life has been filled with epiphanies that would cause me to change my way of thinking, my opinions and my attitude. I’m going through such a time now. I grew up in church and have been pastoring for 7 years. In that time I developed certain ways that some would call churchy. I learned how to praise, dance, shout and I even had the lingo down (”I feel the anointing in this place,” “slain in the Spirit,” etc.). In many ways, my churchy ways alienated people who were not raised in church. God told me to let go of the lingo because I was becoming a noisy gong or a clanging symbol and though I was preaching and teaching the Gospel, unless you knew the lingo, it did not profit anything. Now, it seems God has shined light on new matters of religion to me. In this blog, I intend to vent and discuss those revelations. I pray that it helps someone see God rather than religion. I pray that it touches the heart as well as the intellect. Thanks for checking out my blog and I pray you get something of value from it.
